DeWALT VS Milwaukee Part 2 18V Brushless Heavy Duty Hammer Drill Tool Battle – Wood Challenge

22December 2021

hey guys what's up my name is javier and welcome back to another tool battle we all seen part one of the 18 volt brushless hammer drill challenge in which i put the dewalt dcd-995 versus the milwaukee m18 fuel and a hammer drilling challenge well hopefully you guys checked it out if not go ahead and click on the video shown here so you can see what i'm talking about so because of popular demand we now have part two of the hammer drill challenge in which we can see which one of these drills can make the most holes in wood so the rules are simple both drills will be set to high torque mode speed 1 while in the drilling mode and we'll be using brand new one and a quarter inch speedboard max bits and we'll be drilling holes into a 4×6 to rule out any variables both will be using one half of the same four by six and now for all the boring legal stuff nobody has paid me to do this neither dewalt or milwaukee and honestly i couldn't care less who wins both drills are great and you couldn't go wrong with either one your results may vary don't try this at home not valid in all 50 states this challenge is just for fun so take it easy guys alright so before i bore you guys to death let's get started with the tool battle so watch closely and pay attention [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh [Music] [Applause] [Music] my [Music] [Music] [Music] you [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] me [Music] [Music] what a difference the hammer drill winner from part one came in second in this round with a difference of about seven holes the dewatt won this tool battle with a total of 38 and a half holes drilled and it did great the milwaukee came in a close second at almost 32 holes drilled it came in at 31 and four fifths of a hole it was pretty close actually until the battery shut the tool down what i found interesting about the dewalt was that unlike the first hammer drilling challenge in this tool battle the dewalt's power was constant right up until the last two holes the milwaukee was pretty close in this regard just like in the first hammer drilling challenge now before i wrap up this video i know i'm going to get a ton of comments of people asking why i didn't use a faster speeds like speed 2 on the milwaukee or speeds 2 or 3 under the wall well the answer is pretty simple the reason is that they can't do it they just don't have enough webos to make one and a quarter inch holes using a speed bore max bit the only way to get these holes done is using high torque speed one so there you have it people the winner of this tool battle is the dewalt 20 volt max dcd-995 also known as the 18 volt xr in the uk the milwaukee did great and honestly you couldn't go wrong with either one of these i hope you guys enjoyed this tool battle sorry it took so long to get done and your patience is greatly appreciated make sure to like this video because you guys are awesome subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on all the fun share this video with everyone you know including your grandma and comment let me know what you guys think of this tool battle hey wait a second you didn't tell him about the milwaukee battery oh yeah that's right i almost forgot to tell you why the milwaukee called it quits when the battery shut the tool off there was a code flashing on the battery i've never seen this code before so i looked it up and it turns out that the battery was actually overheating well this makes sense since this video was filmed in the oven we called southern california in july so i was curious to see if the wall has something similar built into their battery packs but i couldn't find anything i know some of you might be a little ticked off about their milwaukee tool shutting off because of a little heat but if you look at the other side of the coin this annoying feature can and will extend the life of your tool similarly to how overload protection works so anyways i let the milwaukee battery cool off for about 10 minutes and then it was back to normal showing one bar of battery left i know it would have killed me not to know how many holes it would have drilled if it hadn't overheated so i gave it a second chance to finish the job this second portion was done about 10 minutes later and was done on a separate recording i know i can't prove it to you guys visually but i didn't charge the battery at all i just let it cool off until the overheating code disappeared you're just gonna have to believe me that i didn't tamper with it at all and have some faith so enough talk and let's say the real results of this test so sit back and relax [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Laughter] [Applause] so you
